Foreign Trade, Treaties and International Commercial Negotiations
After September 1997, when Panama joined the World Trade Organization (WTO), a series of international economic laws were adopted and incorporated in the national laws of Panama. These new bilateral, regional and multilateral commercial regulations propagated a new regulatory structure that has been influenced by the development of WTO agreements, investment treaties and free trade treaties.
With this new international legal order Galindo, Arias & López began offering its clients legal counseling services that addressed the specialized legal framework of the WTO and free trade treaties. In addition, our team of attorneys provided advice to both national and international corporations whose business negotiations were affected by these agreements.
Finally, the firm also leveraged its knowledge to resolve international trade conflicts that arose from these commercial endeavors and legal frameworks.
