Experience
Joined the firm as associate in 2004, previously she held various positions in Panama's Ministry of Commerce and Industry and Foreign Trade Council: Head of Legal Affairs for Negotiations (2001 -2004), Head of Bilateral and Multilateral Affairs (2000- 2001) and Negotiator-Lawyer (1998-2000). Participated in negotiations that led to Panama's Free Trade Agreements with: United States of America, Central America, Taiwan, Mexico, Chile, and the Free Trade Area of the Americas, also assisted in final legal review process of WTO agreements to assure compatibility prior to incorporation into Panama's national laws, Panamanian Embassy in Washington D.C. (1995-1997), Panamanian Embassy in Bonn, Germany (1995-1996), and the German Mission for the Inter-American Taxation Administration Center (CIAT) in Panama (1995). In 1992 she worked as Assistant to the Circuit Public Attorney's Office. Presentations at universities and before professional associations about international commercial negotiations, free trade treaties, and the Free Trade Area of the Americas; instructor for "International Business Diploma Program, with Focus on Foreign Trade" at Monterrey Technological Institute (2001-Panama).
